[attr="class","tempadd"]powers
- Invisibility: All ghosts retain the ability to become invisible. While it takes a good deal of energy control to be able to do it for lengths of time, invisible is only a generalization. They can’t hide their energy from devices meant to track ghostly activity which can often lead to them being found out quite easily.
- Minor Invulnerability: Ghosts for the most part can not be harmed, as long as the ghost is using their ability to turn themselves invulnerable. In this form people and creatures can move right through them, often suffering from a severe chill and negative thoughts from moving through the swirl of energy that composes the ghosts body.
- Telekinesis: Ghosts have the ability to move objects with their mind, using their own energy. While these objects can be moved, their size depends on the practice and strength of the ghost in question. As a general rule, no ghost can move an object larger than a car and not for very long. The bigger the object the more energy required to move it.
- Teleportation: Ghosts can teleport from place to place, but only to places they have been before. The ghost in question has to be able to see the area they want to be in clearly and precisely, or they are threatened with “splicing” in which their soul splits into pieces and scatters. They are able to retrieve these pieces though they will be spread out throughout the general location they were last, and are not always in the same place.
- Touch: Ghosts are actually rather solid. While this can be seen as a good and bad thing, there are certain components of this to note. Mainly that the ghosts body is perpetually cold unless warmed by the energy of a living person who willingly gives it up, and that they do not have beating hearts. Most ghosts have a perpetual cloud of ice and mist that spouts from their mouths while they talk. Touching can have negative and positive consequences depending on the ghost, and their personal energy levels at that time.
[attr="class","tempadd"]weaknesses
- Magic: Ghosts are severely crippled by magic specifically used to keep them away or banish them. While this doesn’t precisely disregard religious items it’s highly unlikely unless using strong almost-magic based items (such as bible verses) to harm them.
- Empathy: Having a very strong sense of empathy can be very dangerous to spiritual entities, as it can drive them mad. Being around a single person for too long can make a ghost particularly in tune to their emotions and can leave them very influential to how that ghost feels on a daily basis.
- Strong Emotion: Strong emotions can warp and turn a ghost into something far less than previously human. Ghosts can warp with superior emotions such as fear and anger that hold a lot of weight, and can leave them very dangerous if not checked on for extended periods of time. It does have physical consequences such as black gaping holes for eyes and pouring thick black liquid from their noses and mouths. This often ends up ripping apart and scattering the soul should the emotion be left to fester.
