Welcome to Brakebills, the North American college of magic. Here young magicians will take an entrace exam and be sorted by their magical prowess, or end up with their memories wiped and sent back to their bland lives. But things aren't always so sunshiney bright in this world.
Hedge witches, shunned from the magical world by normal means and sticking to the shadows to learn their magic, are rising up in larger and larger numbers. Be it Brakebills didn't pick them up, or they just didn't cut it, they want to learn magic the same as everyone else. And with the trouble brewing with portals opening up, things are about to get real rocky.
